We Stand on Our Reputation

Started by our founders and parents, Robert (Pete) Peterson and his wife Mary Lou Peterson, Peterson's Carpet City opened its doors for business in August 1972. Their intent was to provide top quality products and services, while at the same time providing employment for their six children.

Now in our 40th year, our dad must have known what he was doing because to this day you will be greeted inside our store by a Peterson son or daughter.

Like our dad, whom we all miss dearly, we continue to take pride in our products and services. We have extensive knowledge of our products and can give you an education on them, not just a sales pitch. With all the combined years of service to the community, in nothing but floor coverings of all types, we have more than 160 years of experience.
